Mike Stavropoulos, SPHR, is the founder and President of HR Mpact, a human resource consulting company located in Memphis, Tennessee. He has also served as President and CEO of a technology company and President and COO of a manufacturing company.
Mike has over 30 years experience in senior management and human resources in the retail, technology, logistics and manufacturing business segments, giving him a broad base of qualifications and expertise for his position. A graduate of the University of Memphis, Mike attained certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). He has also completed the Executive Leadership course at The Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University, as well as the Strategic Management Course at the University of Michigan.
He provides value-added support in HR administration, recruitment, compensation, benefits administration and training. He is uniquely qualified to blend the knowledge needed in the human resources field with the practicality necessary to manage business profitability. Because he is a hands-on HR professional, he assists clients in building a human resource strategy in alignment with their corporate strategy and effectively builds relationships at all levels of the organization.
Since starting HR Mpact, Mike has completed consulting projects for municipalities, universities, religious organizations and a wide variety of private-sector businesses. Gwen Mattes, SPHR, is a Senior Consultant with HR Mpact, a human resource consulting company. Gwen has over 20 years of human resources management experience in the broadcast, newspaper, retail, technology, and service and distribution sectors.
Prior to joining HR Mpact, Gwen was the Director of Human Resources for a small energy company in Richmond, Virginia. She has developed broad expertise in large, medium and small organizations. A hands-on HR professional she excels at supporting her clients through needs assessments and developing training tools to meet those needs. She also has a proven track record in employee relations investigations, performance management training, and manager coaching.
Gwen attained her certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources from the Society of Human Resource Management in 2001 and attended the American University in Washington, D.C. She is adept at training and coaching first line supervisors to improve team performance and positively address performance and behavior issues.

Don Haring, SPHR, is a Senior Consultant with HR Mpact, a human resource consulting firm. He has just joined the company following a 35-year career in manufacturing that included working in the Electrical/Electronic Components, HVAC and Defense sectors.
He has held executive level positions in Human Resources, Operations and Supply Chain. Don retired from Thomas & Betts Corporation, after 33 years, as Vice President, Corporate Human Resources. Most recently he served as Vice President Human Resources, Defense Systems at Cubic Corporation. Don has extensive experience and expertise as a Human Resources generalist combined with a strong foundation in operations management.
His specialties include employee relations, labor relations and regulatory compliance. He also has in depth experience in talent management through competency models, HR strategy and organization design. Other areas of direct experience include international human resources, staffing, compensation and benefits.
Don earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the College of Wooster and a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology (specializing in Industrial/Organizational Psychology) from California State University at Los Angeles.

Paula Miller is a Senior Consultant with HR Mpact, a Human Resource Consulting firm. She joined the company following her retirement from Thomas & Betts Corporation where she was Vice President, Compensation and Benefits. As a senior level Human Resource executive, Paula has over 30-years’ experience designing and implementing compensation and benefit plans and programs.
Specific areas of expertise include salary administration, benefits management, executive compensation, annual and long-term incentive plan design and administration, and HRIS and payroll system administration and implementation. Paula earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Memphis. She obtained the Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification from WorldatWork.

Zachary Stavropoulos, SHRM-CP, joined the HR Mpact team as HR Coordinator immediately after graduating from college. He is a graduate from Mississippi State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration on Human Resource Management. He was promoted to HR Consultant after achieving his SHRM-CP certification.
While in college, Zach was active not only with his studies but with working and devoting much of his time to voluntary efforts. He served Mississippi State as a Rho Chi, meeting new or perspective students and telling them about the university and giving tours of the school. He was an active member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and represented all of the fraternities on campus servicing as Vice President and later President of the Interfraternity Council for Mississippi State. He is a active member of the Society for Human Resource Management. In addition, he has been an annual volunteer for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Alicia Arrington is a Consultant with HR Mpact, a human resource consulting company. Alicia has over 25 years of experience in operations management with line experience in human resources. She has extensive experience in training, employee engagement, talent development, and employee/labor relations. Alicia’s career was spent primarily in the hospitality industry working for a Fortune® 500 provider of global food, facilities, and uniform services. Alicia’s blended professional background also consists of tenures within human resources and recruitment. Her leadership experience in these areas included performance management, talent sourcing, coaching and development, as well as onboarding.
Alicia is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (national and local chapters) and the Association for Talent Development (ATD) and currently serves on the board of Richmond ATD as VP of Operations. Alicia attained her certification as Certified Professional from the Society of Human Resource Management in 2015. She is proficient in training both ILT and virtual and is certified as an Adobe Connect Virtual Facilitator. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Management from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MBA with a HR Management specialization from Walden University. She is also a notary public in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
